| Abstract: | The greatest damage inflicted by the recent recession has not necessarily been financial but emotional and psychological. There are a lot of direct and indirect societal challenges, changes and opportunities that were brought out by recession everywhere including in India. In this paper, an attempt is made to analyse such societal changes, challenges and opportunities. The recession has brought more positive social changes and opportunities than the challenges. |
