| Abstract: | News item appeared in Malayala Manorama daily about the one-day seminar organised by the Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP),on ‘Education Exclusion in Kerala—Reviewing the Policies for Planning Ahead’ held at CUSAT on 11-5-2011.
Inaugurated by the Cusat Vice-Chancellor Ramachandran Thekkedath. Padmabhushan M V Pylee released the working paper series, ‘Education Exclusion and Economic Growth,’ published by CSSEIP, Cusat. M G S Narayanan was the moderator.
Babu Joseph, K M Roy, P Rajan,Rajendran Puthiyedath, Irudaya Rajan, and K K George, Martin Patrick, Muralidharan participated. CSSEIP director D Rajasenan welcomed the gathering.
The panel discussion looked at the state of education in the country. Migration of students out of Kerala continues despite an increase in the professional education intake capacity in the state since 1999. |
